Fabric Range

Venus is a specialist wholesale window furnishings fabricator with around 25 years’ experience in producing quality roller blinds, curtains, roman blinds and a range of automation accessories, mainly for the Australian market.

Our fabrication premises are mainly Sydney based, although we have facility to fabricate in both Australia and/or New Zealand. All product is carefully inspected before packing and shipment, ensuring our clients only receive absolute top quality of product.

Over recent times, we have invested substantially in new machinery and automation, we operate state of the art semi-automated machinery, ensuring consistent quality of product to precise standards.

Roller blinds are fabricated with “Quantum” components from Hunter Douglas. (“Quantum” and Hunter Douglas may be recognized as associated also with the “Luxaflex” branding in Australasia.)

Every roller blind, regardless of size, is checked for quality and alignment prior to packing and dispatch.

Home automation has become a major part of roller blind installations over recent times, we offer a range of “Somfy branded” motorisation products, as add-on accessories to the roller blind. These can be remote controlled (like a TV remote), or connected to wifi for operation from mobile phones etc.

(With wifi now, motorised window furnishings such as roller blinds and curtains can be operated from anywhere in the world where wifi access to your mobile phone is available).

Only quality fabrics are used in the production of our roller blinds, many of our fabric ranges are locally produced in Australia or imported from Europe. The level of repeat business is indicative of the support and confidence from our wide client base.

Our “Roller Blind Fabric” ranges include:

  • Blockout (Almost Plain Faced) Fabrics
Minimal pattern, almost smooth face, where fabric ranges also available with fire retardant and “greenguard accreditation”. Most are non PVC based (100% polyester), suitable for majority of locations. Ideal for bedrooms, also living areas where block out of the light is required.
  • Blockout Textured Face Fabrics
As above, but where the face surface has texture (linen look for example)
  • Light Filter Fabrics (Both Plain and Textured Face)
The face fabric is almost opaque, allowing light to enter, but restricting visual through the fabric. May be more suited to living areas, kitchens etc.
  • Screen fabrics
In normal daytime use, light will pass into the room but visual into the room in daytime is extremely rare. From within the room, visual outwards is excellent.
At night-time, there is a level of inward visual, particularly where there is light within the room.
Would not be used as main privacy blind in bedrooms etc. Screens are normally fire retardant.
  • Sheer Fabrics
Operate similar to a screen fabric, however the fabric may be more decorative than the screen.
